General Commander of Ukrainian Forces Valerii Zaluzhnyi has openly acknowledged a critical shortage of ammunition in Kyiv as the war with Russia approaches its third year.
In a statement posted on the website of the American news network CNN, Zaluzhnyi stressed the need to counter a decrease in military support from key allies and manage the political tensions among them.
Amidst growing speculation about his potential dismissal, Zaluzhnyi stated that the stocks of missiles, anti-aircraft defense systems, and artillery ammunition among Ukraine’s partners have been depleted due to the intensification of combat operations in the country.
He also attributed this shortage to a global deficiency in explosive materials.
The ammunition shortage in Ukraine raises significant concerns as the conflict with Russia continues to escalate.
