Amid the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict, weapons play a crucial role, with the loss of any armament being particularly detrimental to Kyiv, given the scarcity of Western supply.

In response, Ukraine has taken a decisive step by establishing a specialized unit dedicated to the maintenance of its military arsenal to sustain its defense capabilities.

Ukraine has assembled a team of experts tasked with repairing damaged weapons amidst the battle with Russia, focusing particularly on the restoration of tanks and vehicles that have been impaired during the military escalation.

This technical unit is instrumental in maintaining the operational readiness of the Ukrainian army’s equipment throughout the two years of conflict.

Despite the significant support from Western weaponry, Kyiv has also relied on its domestic arsenal, which includes aircraft, tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery from the Soviet era, along with older weapons highly susceptible to damage.

As a result, some Ukrainian soldiers have undergone training in the repair of modern weapons, and new units have been equipped with soldiers trained abroad, ready to mend both old and contemporary arms amid a noticeable shortage in Western weapon supplies.

Ukraine is placing its bets on ensuring the availability of weapons for its troops, either through repair operations or by importing them from allies.

Through these efforts, Ukraine aims to rebuild and strengthen its military structure to better withstand the challenges posed by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, as reported by British news outlet Sky News.
