British intelligence disclosed that Russia’s military is enlisting approximately 30,000 soldiers each month to maintain its comprehensive war effort against Ukraine.

This recruitment effort coincides with another consecutive night of Moscow’s forces targeting Ukrainian infrastructure.

The British Ministry of Defense, in its daily intelligence update on the war in Ukraine, stated from London, “Russia maintains a significant quantitative advantage in the conflict, surpassing Ukraine in terms of ammunition and equipment numbers.”

The statement, published on the “X” platform, elaborated, “Russia is recruiting about 30,000 individuals monthly and is likely to continue absorbing losses while persisting in attacks designed to wear down Ukrainian forces.”

According to British intelligence, Russian forces have capitalized on their capture of the eastern town of Avdiivka, managing to sustain a “gradual advance” west of the town.

“By the end of March 2024, they had almost taken control of two villages (Tonenke and Orlyvka) and continued to attack other villages in the area,” the intelligence update revealed.

Furthermore, “Russia continued attacks along several other front-line points but has made only minor progress in the past few weeks.”

Despite these advances, Kyiv’s forces have managed to repel some of the Russian advancements and have reclaimed some territories following the military operation initiated on February 24, 2022.

However, Ukraine now faces a critical juncture in the war amid reports of ammunition shortages and difficulties in recruiting new soldiers for front-line operations.

Morale dropped in February when the industrial town of Avdiivka fell to Russian forces after a prolonged and devastating battle.
