According to the latest US News Best Countries rankings for 2023, the UAE has been recognized as the world’s leader in being different, distinctive, dynamic, and unique.

This accolade highlights the nation’s unparalleled readiness to address global economic challenges. The UAE has also emerged as the foremost country to watch globally.

In the specific subranking of Power, the UAE has impressively secured the 10th spot, surpassing nations like India, Canada, Turkey, Australia, Brazil, Singapore, and Sweden.

This ranking is based on six key attributes related to a country’s power, including leadership, economic influence, robust exports, political influence, strong international alliances, and military might.

The 8th edition of the US News & World Report Best Countries rankings evaluated perceptions of 87 countries across 10 sub-rankings, including Adventure, Agility, Cultural Influence, Entrepreneurship, Heritage, Movers, Open for Business, Power, Quality of Life, and Social Purpose.

Overall, the UAE climbed to 19th place globally in the Best Countries for 2023 ranking, an improvement from its 21st position in 2022. It leads the Arab world and Gulf countries in this ranking, significantly outpacing other nations like Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain.

Notably, in the ‘Movers’ sub ranking, which assesses countries based on being different, distinctive, dynamic, and unique, the UAE secured the top position, followed by countries like Japan, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and China. This category emphasizes a nation’s potential for future growth, resilience, and momentum in the global economy.

In the Cultural Influence sub-ranking, the UAE was placed 9th worldwide, ahead of countries such as Sweden, Germany, Brazil, and Canada. This category recognizes nations with significant influence in areas like fashion, entertainment, and lifestyle, marking them as global trendsetters.

Additionally, the UAE achieved 15th place globally in the ‘Agility’ subcategory, which is judged based on adaptability, dynamism, modernity, progressiveness, and responsiveness. Countries that excel in this area are seen as highly adaptable and efficient in responding to change.
