Today, the fourth UAE aid ship carrying 5340 tons of humanitarian supplies departed from the port of Fujairah, headed for the Egyptian city of Al-Arish.
The shipment is destined to be transferred to Gaza as part of the “Heroic Knight 3” operation aimed at supporting the Palestinian people in the region.
The vessel departed with 4750 tons of food items and 590 tons of shelter materials, meticulously loaded onto the ship through the coordination of 313 trucks emptied directly onto the vessel.
The effort was supported by the UAE Red Crescent Authority, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs.
As part of the ongoing “Heroic Knight 3” operation, the UAE has initiated several humanitarian projects. These include the establishment of two field hospitals, the first within Gaza and the second as a floating hospital off the coast of Al-Arish.
Additionally, five automated bakeries have been set up, along with the provision of flour to eight existing bakeries in Gaza. Moreover, six desalination stations producing 1.2 million gallons daily have been established, benefiting over 600,000 people in Gaza.
Recently, the Joint Operations Command launched the “Birds of Goodness” operation to air-drop humanitarian aid to isolated areas in northern Gaza. To date, a total of 3382 tons of relief and humanitarian aid have been successfully dropped in these areas.
The UAE remains committed to alleviating humanitarian challenges in Gaza, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to providing essential aid and infrastructure support to the Palestinian people amidst challenging circumstances.
