The United Arab Emirates (UAE) received the 10th batch of wounded Palestinian children and cancer patients from the Gaza Strip. The group of 86 patients and their families arrived at Abu Dhabi International Airport on a plane sent by the UAE government.
The initiative is part of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to provide medical treatment to 1,000 wounded Palestinian children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza.
The patients will receive specialized medical care at hospitals across the UAE. The UAE has allocated a budget of AED 50 million for the initiative.
UAE’s Humanitarian Response to Gaza Crisis
The UAE has been at the forefront of providing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people. Since the start of the latest crisis in Gaza, the UAE has provided urgent aid, including food, medical supplies, and shelter.
The UAE has also established a field hospital in Gaza with a capacity of 150 beds. The hospital provides medical care to Palestinians who have been injured in the violence.
UAE’s Commitment to the Palestinian People
The UAE’s support for the Palestinian people is based on its firm belief in the importance of achieving a just and lasting peace in the Middle East. The UAE has consistently called for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The UAE’s humanitarian initiatives in Gaza are a testament to its commitment to the Palestinian people and its belief in the importance of providing them with the support they need to build a better future.
