UAE & Oman Discuss Cooperation

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman in Abu Dhabi on Monday.

The meeting, which took place during a brief stop at the Presidential Airport’s VIP lounge, highlighted the strong fraternal relations between the two countries.

Upon entering UAE airspace, Sultan Haitham’s aircraft was escorted by a number of UAE military jets in a ceremonial gesture of welcome and respect.


The Sultan’s visit is reported by “Sky News Arabia” to last two days, during which both sides will discuss further strengthening their well-established bilateral ties.

The correspondent added, “Accompanying Sultan Haitham on this visit are several ministers, reflecting the significance of the topics expected to be covered. These include strategic issues, security and stability in the region, as well as economic and strategic partnerships between the two nations.”

The visit underscores the ongoing commitment of both nations to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, promoting regional stability and economic growth.
