The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially announced its participation in the development of a module on NASA’s Lunar Gateway Station, joining forces with the USA, Japan, Canada, and the European Union. As part of this landmark project, the UAE will also send its first Emirati astronaut into lunar orbit.
The UAE’s involvement in creating the Crew and Science Airlock module on the Lunar Gateway Station signifies a significant step in enhancing the nation’s global presence in space science and technology.
