Turkey To Open Consulate In Libya's Benghazi

Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Kanaan Yilmaz, announced plans to inaugurate the Consulate in Benghazi, hailing the strong bilateral relations between Turkey and Libya.

Yilmaz recently stated that efforts are underway with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to soon open a Turkish consulate in Benghazi.

He affirmed his approval for the Turkish Industries Exhibition, which was inaugurated on Monday in the city of Benghazi. He referred to the event as a significant step toward establishing a deserving place for Turkish companies in Eastern Libya.

The ambassador further expressed confidence in the Libyan economy, demonstrating Turkey’s equal support for all its regions.

In his speech during the exhibition’s inauguration, the Turkish ambassador reaffirmed that the active participation of Turkish firms and businessmen in the exhibition is a testament to the trust that Turkey places in the Libyan economy. He also praised the authorities of the Eastern region for hosting the exhibition.

Lastly, the Turkish ambassador expressed his desire to strengthen the mutual cooperation between Turkey and Libya in various fields, especially in trade.
