The Turkish Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar, has reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to restoring peace, stability, and tranquility to Libya, emphasizing Ankara’s unwavering support for the Libyan people and the unity of their territory.

In an interview with the Turkish news channel TRT World, Akar stated, “Our goal is to contribute to a unified Libya, to ensure the safety of its territories and its political unity, and to live in peace, tranquility, and stability.” He continued, “We are making intensive efforts to create an environment of peace, calm, and trust in Libya.”

The Turkish Defense Minister pointed out that Turkey was the first country to extend a helping hand to Libya after the disaster of the storm “Danielle.”

He underscored that cooperation between Turkey and Libya has grown steadily in recent years, with Ankara providing training to over 15,000 Libyan employees and offering healthcare support to an additional 37,000.

This commitment to supporting Libya’s stability and well-being is part of Turkey’s broader efforts in the region and reflects its dedication to fostering peace and prosperity in Libya.
