Tunisia’s Foreign Ministry has expressed approval of the results from the summit of countries neighboring Sudan, hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt last Thursday. This sentiment was released in a statement on Friday, signifying Tunisia’s hope that the initiative could catalyze regional and international efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful and comprehensive solution to the crisis in Sudan.

The Tunisian Foreign Ministry reiterated its call for an immediate cessation of conflict, emphasizing the necessity to preserve Sudan’s security, stability, and territorial integrity, as well as to safeguard its sovereignty and the prosperity of its people.

The summit of countries neighbouring Sudan concluded with a final statement, read by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, stressing full respect for Sudan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and non-interference in its internal affairs. The ongoing conflict in the country was treated as a purely domestic issue.
