Thousands of pro-Palestinian supporters rallied in Washington and London as part of the “Global Action Day,” calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and condemning US and UK support for Israel.

According to the Washington Post, large crowds waving Palestinian flags gathered in Washington, while predominantly young protesters assembled for a solidarity march on the ninety-ninth day of the war on Gaza.

Chanting “Ceasefire now,” demonstrators carried banners and posters with messages like “Free Palestine” and “Stop the War on Gaza, Stop Funding Genocide.”

Near the White House, a platform hosted several Palestinian-Americans from Gaza, who shared poignant stories about friends and relatives killed or injured in the conflict.

They urged US President Joe Biden to end military and financial support for Israel.

Amidst enthusiastic applause, one speaker asserted, “President Biden can easily stop this madness” by pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while the world remains passive.

This large-scale demonstration highlights the growing international concern over the Gaza conflict and the controversial role of major world powers in it.

As calls for peace and justice resonate across continents, the eyes of the world are now on the leaders to take decisive action.
