In efforts to limit the Rapid Support Forces’ (RSF) movements and reinforcements to battlefronts in Khartoum and other areas, military sources informed Al Arabiya/Al Hadath that the Sudanese army conducted night air raids in several regions of North Darfur, located in the western part of the country.
The sources reported that the 22nd Division forces in Babanousa city, West Kordofan state, west Sudan, repelled an attack by the RSF, which is besieging the city.
Additionally, there has been continued suffering in the villages of southern Gezira state, central Sudan, following the recent invasion by RSF troops.
It has been learned that hundreds of families in southern Gezira state were forced to leave their villages and cross the Blue Nile River eastwards, following what they described as looting and inhumane practices by the RSF in their areas.
This development comes as the conflict that erupted in Sudan on April 15 last year is approaching its first anniversary.
Amidst the ongoing fighting, a document prepared by civil parties and political groups has been revealed, outlining a proposal for a political solution.
The document, titled “Political Solution Proposal to End the War and Establish the Sudanese State,” published by “Al Majalla” magazine, includes a call for a cessation of hostilities and a two-month truce, followed by the formation of a civilian transitional government and a unified army over a ten-year period.
