Spain has achieved another historic feat by claiming the Women’s Nations League title after defeating France 2-0 in the final held at the “La Cartuja” stadium in Seville.
Spain dominated the match from the start, and successfully opened the scoring in the 32nd minute through Aitana Bonmati. She received a fantastic pass from Olga Carmona and placed the ball past the French goalkeeper.
In the 53rd minute, Spain doubled their lead with a second goal scored by Mariona Caldentey, following a brilliant team move that ended with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area.
France tried to come back into the match, but they were unable to penetrate the organized Spanish defense, leading to a well-deserved victory for Spain and the Nations League title.
This is Spain’s first Women’s Nations League title, coming just six months after their victory in the Women’s World Cup in Australia.
With this result, Spain confirms its position as one of the strongest women’s football teams in the world, and strengthens their hopes for achieving more success in the future.
