Snapchat launched a new model for converting text into an image using artificial intelligence (AI) technology, called SnapFusion.
The new feature comes in line with the tech giant’s objectives to boost its presence in the field.
In a statement, the company highlighted that Snap Fusion cuts the time to run the model, from entering text to creating images in the mobile phone, to less than two seconds.
Its research department concluded this milestone by optimizing the network structure and reducing noise, which makes the operation efficiency while maintaining image quality.
Earlier this week, Snapchat and Disney announced joint plans to enhance storytelling and bring to life the legendary characters and tales in celebration of Disney’s 100 years.
Snapchat has 383 million daily active users and more than 750 million monthly active users worldwide.
“We are so excited to bring the magic of Disney to life in a unique, immersive way for those on the ground at Cannes and everyone at home” Rob Wilk, President of the Americas, Snap Inc, stated.
Wilk added: “Through our best-in-class AR technology, Disney stories will come to life like never before, showing that with a little bit of fairy dust, anything is possible.”
