On Wednesday, the fifth Saudi relief aircraft departed from King Khalid International Airport, Riyadh, bound for Benina International Airport in Benghazi, Libya. The plane is loaded with 90 tons of food and shelter assistance aimed at helping those affected by the recent floods in Libya.
The move comes as a direct implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister – may God preserve them – to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to provide food and shelter assistance to flood victims.
This initiative is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s consistent commitment to extending a helping hand to its neighboring and friendly countries, especially during times of crisis and hardship.
Saudi Arabia has a long-standing tradition of supporting countries facing various crises, and this effort to assist Libya underlines the Kingdom’s unwavering role as a beacon of humanitarian aid and solidarity in the region.
