The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approved the establishment of an anti-corruption regulatory body.

The Saudi Cabinet also reviewed regional and international developments, including Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to end the war in Gaza and support peace initiatives in Yemen, aiming to achieve regional security and stability. In this context, the Cabinet called on the international community and influential parties to assume their responsibilities and roles in reducing tensions in the region.

Under the chairmanship of King Salman, the Cabinet welcomed the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice on the illegality of the Israeli presence in the occupied Palestinian territories for 57 years. Saudi Arabia affirmed the necessity of taking practical and credible steps to achieve a fair and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.

The Saudi Cabinet was briefed on recent telephone conversations between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Prime Minister, and leaders from France, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Iraq. These discussions focused on strengthening and developing bilateral relations in various fields.

Additionally, under King Salman’s leadership, the Saudi Cabinet approved several decisions, including Saudi Arabia joining the “Seagrass Initiative 2030.” The Cabinet also authorized the Minister of Commerce—or his delegate—to negotiate and sign a memorandum of understanding with Kuwait regarding consumer protection cooperation between the Saudi and Kuwaiti Ministries of Commerce.

Similarly, the Cabinet authorized the Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority—or his delegate—to sign an agreement with Kuwait to avoid double taxation on income and prevent tax evasion and avoidance.

The series of approvals also included agreements on employment and domestic labor between Saudi Arabia and the Republics of Gambia and the United Republic of Tanzania. Additionally, the Cabinet delegated the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources—or his delegate—to negotiate a memorandum of understanding with Mozambique’s Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy for cooperation in the mineral resources sector.
