The Saudi King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center announced that its campaign for the relief of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip has raised more than SAR 605 million.
The center highlighted that the campaign has seen the participation of over 1.37 million donors to date.
This humanitarian initiative was launched by the King Salman Center on the “Sahem” platform, aimed at supporting the Palestinian people.
The substantial amount raised demonstrates a strong commitment and widespread support for the cause, reflecting the center’s ongoing efforts in humanitarian aid and relief activities.
This campaign is a significant part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian efforts in the region, showcasing its role in assisting those in need, especially in crisis-hit areas like the Gaza Strip.
The funds raised are expected to make a considerable impact in addressing the urgent needs of the Palestinian people in Gaza, amidst ongoing challenges.
The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Sunday that the death toll has risen to almost 23,000 people amidst Israel’s prolonged offensive on Palestine, marking a devastating toll on the civilian population.
Additionally, the conflict has forced nearly 2 million people to be displaced from their homes.
The Gaza Health Ministry said: “The Israeli aggression toll has risen to 22,835 dead and 58,416 injuries since October 7.”
Around 110 journalists, including 11 women, have lost their lives while courageously performing their professional duties in the Gaza Strip.
The escalation of the armed conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement has taken a heavy toll, as reported by the media relations department in Gaza.
