The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed the kingdom’s condemnation and denunciation of the attack that took place in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region in northwest Pakistan, leading to deaths and injuries.

The ministry reiterated the kingdom’s firm position against violence and terrorism wherever it occurs, expressing complete solidarity with Pakistan and its people, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The Ministry also extended condolences and sympathy to the victims’ families, the Pakistani government, and its people, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

At least 44 people were killed and dozens injured on Sunday in a suicide bombing during a political rally supporting the Taliban movement in northwest Pakistan, officials reported.

Scenes from the bombing site shared on social media showed bodies strewn around the explosion site while volunteers helped to transport blood-covered victims to ambulances.

The bombing coincided with an anticipated visit of a high-ranking Chinese delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng, expected to arrive in the capital Sunday evening.
