Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its support for international efforts aimed at combating extremist ideologies and cutting off their funding.
The Kingdom also emphasized its commitment to promoting values of peace and dialogue and fostering a culture of coexistence among peoples.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosary reported that the council commended the adoption by the United Nations (UN) General Assembly of a resolution regarding “measures to combat Islamophobia” and the appointment of a special envoy to the organization tasked with combating “Islamophobia.”
The Saudi Minister of Media further stated that the Council of Ministers reviewed the overall work of the state on both domestic and international levels.
He also underlined the achievements and goals aimed at continuing comprehensive development in all sectors of the Kingdom, strengthening relations with sisterly and friendly countries, and supporting anything that contributes to the welfare of humanity as a whole.”
The council also expressed its welcome for the contents of the international conference organized by the Muslim World League in Mecca, under the theme “Building Bridges between Islamic Sects,” and thanked the scholars of the nation participating in the conference for their expressions of appreciation and esteem for the significant efforts that the Kingdom has made and continues to make in serving Islam and Muslims, caring for the Two Holy Mosques, and promoting solidarity within the Islamic world.
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has directed the disbursement of over SAR 3 billion as Ramadan assistance to beneficiaries of social security, with SAR 1,000 for each family and SAR 500 for each dependent.
