According to a press report, Senegalese player Sadio Mané, the striker for Saudi football club Al Nassr, has decided to leave the Roshn Saudi League during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Spanish newspaper “todofichajes” reported that Mané does not wish to continue at Al Nassr, which he joined last summer from Bayern Munich.
The newspaper indicated that several clubs outside Saudi Arabia are interested in signing Mané during the summer transfer market, most notably the Turkish club Fenerbahçe, managed by the experienced Portuguese coach José Mourinho.
The report from “todofichajes” added that Al Nassr would allow the Senegalese star to leave the club if a suitable financial offer is received, amounting to no less than 15 million euros. Sadio Mané (32 years old) participated in 46 matches with the “global” team in all competitions over the past season, during which he scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists.
Sadio Mané joined Al Nassr from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023. The move was part of a broader trend of high-profile players moving to the Saudi Pro League, influenced by significant financial incentives offered by Saudi clubs aiming to enhance the league’s profile globally.
During his tenure at Al Nassr, Mané played 46 matches across various competitions, scoring 19 goals and assisting 11. Despite his contributions, it appears he is seeking a return to European football.
The Saudi Pro League has seen an influx of notable international players, aiming to improve the competitive standard and global visibility of the league. However, players sometimes seek returns to Europe due to the competitive environment and exposure in top-tier leagues.
Al Nassr is open to letting Mané leave if a suitable offer of at least 15 million euros is made. This valuation reflects his experience and performance level, as well as the financial investments Saudi clubs have made in their players.
