Russia and Iran have announced their plans to enhance cooperation in the field of military defense, as stated by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
On Wednesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri, affirmed their commitment to deepening dialogue and expanding contacts in the defense sector.
The ministry further disclosed that the discussions covered a range of topics, including military cooperation, technical collaboration, regional security, and the global geopolitical landscape. The call also served as an opportunity for Chief of the General Staff Bagheri to share his insights on recent developments in Russia, bilateral military relations, and security issues in the region. Additionally, Bagheri extended an invitation to Shoigu to visit Iran.
