Qatar & Libya Discuss Bilateral Ties

In a meeting held at Lusail Palace, Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received Abdul Hamid Mohammed Al Dbeiba, the Head of the Government of National Unity of Libya, and his accompanying delegation. The meeting aimed to discuss bilateral relations between the two nations and explore opportunities for further development and strengthening of these ties.

During the discussions, the leaders reviewed the latest developments in Libya. Al Dbeiba expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Tamim for Qatar’s continuous and unwavering support for Libya and its people. He acknowledged Qatar’s pivotal role in helping Libya achieve stability and development.

Sheikh Tamim, in response, reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast commitment to supporting Libya’s unity and stability. He stressed Qatar’s unwavering support for the Libyan political track, emphasizing the importance of upholding the sovereignty of Libya. Qatar remains dedicated to peaceful solutions and abides by relevant Security Council resolutions to ensure Libya’s sovereignty and the well-being of its people.

The meeting was attended by several senior Qatari officials, including Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, and other key figures from Qatar.

On the Libyan side, the delegation included Minister of State for Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Affairs Adel Jumaa, Political and Security Adviser to the Prime Minister Ibrahim Al Dbeiba, Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi, Interior Minister-designate Imad Trabelsi, Minister of Sports Abdel-Shafie Al-Juweifi, and other high-ranking officials.

This meeting serves as a testament to Qatar’s ongoing commitment to supporting Libya’s political process and its dedication to the country’s stability and development.
