During Thanksgiving, a group of pro-Palestinian demonstrators targeted the residence of the head of a prominent Jewish organization in Brentwood, California.
The protesters, who were masked, assembled outside the house and launched smoke grenades. They also scattered artificial blood and positioned mock baby body bags on the driveway and lawn of the property.
The protesters, marking the holiday, laid out bunches of cloth drenched in red paint, representing deceased infants, and splattered red paint near the house to symbolize blood.
They also loudly chanted derogatory slogans against the holiday, aimed at the leader of America’s largest pro-Israel lobbying group.
The People’s City, which describes itself as an anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist group, organized the rally, calling it “a holiday wake-up call” in a post on X.
“AIPAC spends tens of millions to control pro-genocide congress members. Fuck your holiday baby killer!” it wrote.
On the eve of the first humanitarian truce in Gaza, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced that movement from the southern part of the Gaza Strip to the north would not be allowed during the truce.
He specified that this restriction also applies to “uncoordinated” truck movements within the region. Israeli forces will be positioned along the ceasefire lines within the Gaza Strip as the truce takes effect.
Adraee added that Israeli forces will be stationed in less populated areas and continue administrative and logistical movements along the Netzarim axis and the coastal road.
This announcement comes as the truce between Israel and Hamas, brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, is set to commence on a Friday morning.
