Libya’s Oil and Gas Minister Mohamed Aoun discussed with Russia’s Ambassador in Tripoli, Aydar Aganin, the activation of the Libyan-Russian Ministerial Committee after it had been suspended for years.
During his meeting with the Russian ambassador in Tripoli, Aoun expressed the desire to join forces with Russian companies in the exploratory tours of the oil and gas sectors.
He also appreciated Moscow’s role during the “OPEC +” organization in maintaining the balance of the global oil market.
The oil minister stressed the necessity of activating the joint committee, holding meetings and visits, in addition to hosting seminars and workshops to introduce Russian technology in the oil industries.
In the same vein, the head of Libya’s Higher National Electoral Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, held a meeting with Aganin and touched upon the latest developments in the electoral process.
They discussed the support and expertise that can be provided in the field of electoral process management and implementation, as well as ways to support efforts aimed at ensuring the success of the elections in accordance with international standards.
