The Land Ports Management and Operation Centre of the Libyan Ministry of Transportation, based in Tripoli, has announced resuming operations at the Ghadames-Al-Debdeb border crossing with Algeria.

This move is part of preparations for the forthcoming resumption of passenger traffic and enhanced commercial exchange between the two nations.

The decision to reopen the border crossing signifies a significant achievement resulting from the dedicated efforts of the Tripoli Libyan government, particularly the Ministry of Transport.

The primary objective is to alleviate the challenges faced by citizens in terms of movement and to facilitate direct commercial exchanges between Algeria and Libya, eliminating the need for transit through Tunisia.

The reopening of this crucial border crossing is the culmination of meticulous coordination between the two countries, involving the completion of all technical, legal, and regulatory procedures on both sides.

Their joint efforts were aimed at streamlining all necessary procedures to ensure the seamless flow of movement through the border crossing.

As the Ghadames-Al-Debdeb border crossing reopens, it is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing regional connectivity, fostering economic ties, and contributing to the normalization of movement between Libya and Algeria.

The completion of this reopening marks a positive step forward in the ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the two neighboring nations.
