The Advisory Council of Libya called on the outgoing Government of National Unity, led by Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba, to exert all efforts and mobilize international support to halt the Israeli war and provide all forms of assistance to stop the genocide and allow aid into Gaza.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Council urged the Libyan people, Arab and Islamic nations, and global human rights supporters to offer their support and solidarity with the Palestinian people to put an end to the unprecedented genocidal crimes committed by Zionists in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories.
The Council reiterated its condemnation of the Zionist enemy’s acts of genocide against the people of Gaza, labeling it a war of extermination and a complete crime.
It reaffirmed its steadfast stance on the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to defend their occupied land and capital, Jerusalem.
The statement highlighted the ongoing Zionist war machine’s repeated assaults on the Palestinian people in Gaza since the beginning of the occupation and the international community’s witnessed genocidal crimes by the Zionist enemy against Gaza’s residents.
The silence of the majority who claim to defend human rights and international humanitarian law was described as a disgrace to humanity.
The Council’s statement pointed out that the killing, destruction, and forced displacement of Gaza’s residents, including actions that have led to their starvation and denial of basic human rights, constitute an organized crime that surpasses all ethical and humanitarian values.
