He highlighted a specific action plan within the oil sector to transition energy by 2050, featuring five key initiatives aimed at achieving net-zero carbon emissions by mid-century.
Al-Mulla, speaking on Tuesday, emphasized KOC’s participation in the Leading Innovative Visions (LIVE) Forum and Exhibition, organized by global oil services company Halliburton in Athens.
He noted that KOC showcased its efforts towards sustainable energy transition and digital transformation, which are critical to minimizing energy costs and supporting sustainable development goals.
Over the past decade, KOC has laid a strong foundation for these initiatives. One of the standout projects is the Integrated Smart Digital Field Center, alongside the renewable energy initiative.
These efforts are designed to support Kuwait’s transition towards sustainable energy solutions.
The LIVE Forum and Exhibition is an annual event that gathers industry experts, thought leaders, senior executives, and innovators to share and discuss the latest digital innovations and technological advancements that are revolutionizing the oil and gas industry.
This year’s event provided a platform for KOC to highlight its advancements and future plans in the realm of energy transition and digital innovation.
