The Jordanian Armed Forces carried out two airdrops of humanitarian and food aid to various locations in Gaza, marking the first such deliveries in nearly two months.
The airdrops were deemed necessary for areas that ground convoys had been unable to reach.
According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, two Royal Jordanian Air Force C-130 aircraft conducted the airdrops, delivering much-needed relief and humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza, who continue to suffer from the ongoing Israeli military operations.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed their ongoing commitment to sending humanitarian and medical aid to Gaza via land convoys, in collaboration with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization.
The aim is to help the residents of Gaza cope with the dire situation they face.
Jordanian field hospitals in both northern and southern Gaza continue to provide medical, therapeutic, and humanitarian services to the people of the region.
Additionally, the field hospital in Nablus and surgical stations in Jenin and Ramallah remain operational, offering various medical services through their clinics and specialized units.
Since the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the Jordanian Armed Forces have conducted 119 airdrops, along with 266 airdrops in coordination with allied and friendly nations.
Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, has vehemently dismissed Israel’s justifications for its aggression in the West Bank as falsehoods.
Speaking on the social media platform X, Safadi criticized what he described as the “racist and extremist” claims made by Israeli ministers used to justify the killing of Palestinians and the destruction of their assets.
Safadi highlighted that the real threat to peace and security in the region is the ongoing Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories and the escalating crimes against the Palestinian people. “The Israeli escalation poses the greatest danger to regional peace and security,” he stated.
The Jordanian Foreign Minister also noted that Jordan is coordinating with its allies to take all possible measures to counter Israeli aggression and to halt the ongoing war on the Palestinian people.
