During a recent cabinet meeting, Jordan’s Prime Minister, Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh, affirmed that concerted efforts led by King Abdullah II have resulted in a United Nations General Assembly resolution calling for a ceasefire, sustainable humanitarian truce, and several critical measures in support of the people of Gaza and Palestine.

He further stated that in response to King Abdullah’s directives, the Cabinet has decided to allocate 45,000 tons of wheat and grains, along with seven trucks of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment, to the people of the West Bank.

The arrangements for delivering this humanitarian aid are currently underway, and the aid continues to flow to both the West Bank and Gaza.

Additionally, Al-Khasawneh announced that preparations are being made in collaboration with the World Health Organization and through the initiative of the Hussein Cancer Center to receive a group of children battling cancer in Gaza.

These children will be transported to the center for treatment as soon as conditions allow.
