The Royal Jordanian Air Force dispatched an airlift of “urgent medical assistance” to Gaza, specifically destined for the Jordanian field hospital, marking the second such delivery since the onset of the conflict, as announced by the Jordanian military in a statement.
A senior military source at the General Command of the Armed Forces stated, “Under royal directives, a Royal Jordanian Air Force aircraft conducted an airdrop of urgent medical aid for the second time using parachutes to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza on Saturday.”
The source explained, “This action is part of the ongoing efforts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to stand by its brothers during the war on Gaza,” emphasizing that “the hospital continues its operations despite the challenging circumstances resulting from the bombardment in the region.”
Jordan’s King Abdullah II had previously ordered an airdrop of “urgent medical aid” to Gaza for this hospital in the early hours of the previous Monday, affirming, “This is our duty to assist the wounded and injured who are suffering due to the war on Gaza.”
Colonel Thaer Al-Khatib, the commander of the field hospital, further explained on Tuesday that the first shipment included “three airdropped parcels to a pre-determined location,” each containing a total of 1,000 kilograms of medical supplies, medications, and essential equipment.
