Benny Gantz, Israel’s War Cabinet Minister, is reportedly against the immediate replacement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the Kan public broadcaster, which cites sources close to Gantz.

These sources indicate Gantz’s belief that demanding Netanyahu’s ouster amidst an ongoing conflict is irrational.

Despite his current stance, Gantz is said to hold the view that a thorough evaluation of the factors leading to the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel is necessary.

This suggests that while the ministeropposes calls for Netanyahu’s immediate replacement, he supports a future investigation into the leadership’s handling of events leading up to the conflict.

Gantz is a key figure in Israeli politics and has been involved in various capacities, particularly in relation to Israel’s defense and military strategies.

His perspective on the handling of the conflict and leadership decisions is significant, given his experience and role in Israel’s political and security landscape.

This development reflects the complexities and varied opinions within Israeli political circles regarding the management of the conflict and leadership responsibilities.

Dmitry Polyansky, the First Deputy Representative of Russia to the United Nations, declared that the ongoing conflict in Gaza has exposed the double standards of Western countries.

Speaking to Sputnik news agency, Polyansky criticized the Western nations for their reluctance to openly condemn Israel’s actions.

Polyansky asserted that the current strife in the Gaza Strip has laid bare the duplicity of Western nations, who, according to him, “do not dare to call Israel’s actions by their real names.”

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported on Friday that over 100 of its staff members had been killed in Gaza since the conflict’s onset.

Israel commenced airstrikes in the Gaza Strip following a fatal attack by Hamas on Israeli communities on October 7.
