In a recent development, the Israeli army has officially pulled out from the Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, as confirmed by the director of the medical facility, Mohammed Abu Selmeia.
According to Abu Selmeia, while the Israeli forces have withdrawn from inside the Al-Shifa Complex, they maintain a significant presence with tanks and forces in its vicinity.
This withdrawal comes approximately 16 hours after the Israeli forces conducted a thorough operation within the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip. During the incursion, dozens of Palestinian employees were reportedly detained by the Israeli troops.
The incursion was initially described by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as a “targeted and precise operation” against Hamas, with troops scanning for Hamas infrastructure and terrorist activities within the Al-Shifa Hospital area.
Additionally, the IDF claimed to have delivered humanitarian equipment to the hospital’s entrance.
In response to these claims, Hamas dismissed the Israeli army’s assertion of finding weapons in the Al-Shifa Complex as a “blatant lie” aimed at justifying what they termed as a deliberate attack on the healthcare sector in the Gaza enclave.
The situation remains tense, with ongoing international attention on the events unfolding in the region.
