Israeli forces continue the closure of the Rafah border crossing and the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing in southern Gaza for the 14th consecutive day, severely impacting the flow of humanitarian aid and medical supplies into the region.
The closure began on May 7 when Israeli forces occupied the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing, effectively halting the influx of aid into Gaza. Since May 5, the Kerem Shalom crossing has also been shut down, preventing the entry of humanitarian and medical assistance.
During this period, more than 3,000 aid trucks have been denied entry into Gaza, and around 700 patients and injured individuals have been unable to leave the besieged territory for medical treatment abroad.
Our correspondent reports an escalation in Israeli military operations, particularly in the northern parts of Gaza, including Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital.
This intensification has led to the displacement of thousands of residents and resulted in numerous casualties from airstrikes across all governorates of Gaza.
Healthcare services have been severely disrupted, with the closure of Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza due to the siege.
Israeli forces are advancing towards Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, further straining medical resources.
In Rafah, Israeli airstrikes have targeted multiple areas in the eastern part of the city, causing significant casualties and injuries.
The ground invasion in eastern Rafah has forcibly displaced approximately 800,000 residents to Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, according to UNRWA data.
