The Israeli army announced on Friday the expansion of its military operations in Khan Younis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the Israeli army declared its intent to broaden activities in the Khan Younis area, initiating an attack to destroy enemy infrastructure in the city.
The operation involves the use of warplanes, drones, and tanks in targeting Palestinian militants.
According to the army radio, there is an expansion of army maneuvers in Khan Younis, with seven brigades operating, including the inclusion of a paratrooper brigade.
This development follows Israeli aircraft dropping leaflets a few days ago, urging residents in specific areas, including those adjacent to the Nasser Medical Complex, to evacuate immediately due to the designation of the area as a dangerous combat zone.
The military escalation in Khan Younis reflects the ongoing tensions in the region, and the Israeli army’s operations are aimed at addressing security concerns and eliminating perceived threats in the area.
