ISIS Leader Killed in Syria

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) declared the killing of a field commander affiliated with the ISIS organization in a joint operation with the International Coalition in Raqqa city, situated in the northeastern part of Syria.

In a statement issued today, Thursday, the Forces mentioned that their specialized counter-terrorism units executed a targeted security operation in the heart of Raqqa city. The operation was directed at one of the leaders of the ISIS organization named Ibrahim Al-Ali, who is also known as “Abu Mujahid”.

The statement also emphasized that “Abu Mujahid” held the position of the chief official for the eastern region.

Furthermore, the statement conveyed that the operation was conducted in collaboration with the International Coalition forces and the Counter-Terrorism Agency of the Kurdistan region in Iraq.
