During a joint press conference in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf discussed plans to ease visa requirements between the two countries.

They expressed their satisfaction with the fruitful talks that covered a wide range of issues.

In the initial step, Iran and Algeria have agreed to lift political visa requirements, paving the way for further relaxation of visa regulations for ordinary travelers.

Both ministers emphasised the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and fostering stronger ties between the two nations.

Amir-Abdollahian highlighted upcoming plans to convene a meeting of the supreme joint commission in the respective capitals, which will contribute to deepening cooperation in sectors such as science and technology, new energies, agriculture, medical equipment, medicine, tourism, and mining industries.

The discussions between Iran and Algeria demonstrate the commitment of both countries to strengthening diplomatic relations and expanding cooperation across various sectors.

Easing visa requirements will facilitate travel and promote people-to-people exchanges, ultimately fostering greater economic, cultural, and scientific collaboration between Iran and Algeria.
