The International Criminal Court’s account on the “X” platform reported today (Tuesday) that the Office of the Prosecutor of the Court has launched a campaign calling for information and cooperation regarding allegations of crimes committed in Darfur, Sudan.
The Office urged “anyone with information relevant to the alleged international crimes in Darfur” to come forward.
The Prosecutor of the Court stated, “We are urgently investigating allegations of widespread international crimes in El Fasher, North Darfur, and the surrounding areas.”
The Court provided a link in the tweet for submitting information.
UN Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths stated yesterday that the escalating violence in El Fasher, North Darfur State, Sudan, “has dealt a devastating blow to civilians.”
Griffiths, via the “X” platform, added, “I am appalled by reports of the (Rapid Support Forces) attack on the southern hospital. The fighting, looting, and atrocities we are witnessing in Sudan must stop immediately.”
