Commencing on Saturday, the periodic maintenance work on the Holy Kaaba has initiated under the watchful eye of the Saudi Arabia’s Projects Management Office of the Finance Ministry, in coordination with various relevant government agencies.
This ongoing maintenance is part of the steadfast commitment of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi King Salman’s government, to consistently preserve and care for the Holy Kaaba, ensuring its sanctity and keeping all its components in optimal condition.
The periodic maintenance efforts align with the broader initiatives led by the government of King Salman, guided and monitored by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, aimed at upholding the Holy House of God.
The Projects Management Office of the Finance Ministry plays a crucial role in overseeing the progress of the maintenance works, involving a select group of skilled professionals dedicated to projects associated with the expansion of the Grand Mosque.
Attending to the minutest details of workflow, the office employs cutting-edge technologies in accordance with international specifications and standards, adhering to the directives of the sagacious Saudi leadership.
Since its establishment in 1438 AH, the office has been supervising projects related to expanding the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.
Notable projects include the significant Saudi expansion of the Grand Mosque, the Mataf (circumambulation area) capacity increase project, and the third Saudi expansion for the Prophet’s Mosque, encompassing its squares and related components.
