The Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, affirmed on Wednesday that the Lebanese front will not cease “as long as the aggression on Gaza continues, and the threat of war does not intimidate us.”
The National News Agency quoted Nasrallah saying in a speech today that “the enemy’s continuation to target civilians in Lebanon will compel the resistance to launch rockets and target new settlements that have not been targeted before.”
He added, “We stand up for all the peoples of our region, who have been attacked by this occupying entity, which has assaulted the area with threats and aggression,” noting that there are three Arab countries still directly suffering from this killing: Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, according to the German News Agency.
He continued, “Since October 8 last year, we have entered a different phase in Lebanon, and we are fighting a different battle, as we declared the opening of a Lebanese support front; in support of the oppressed Palestinian people.”
He referred to the actions taken by the resistance in Gaza on October 7 last year as a complete right for them, and regretted that there are still those who malign the resistance.
He added, “For the first time in its history, the Zionist entity is experiencing its worst conditions and days, as its leaders admit. For the first time, they talk about collapse and demise. For the first time, Israel seems incapable after 10 months of fighting to achieve its goals, and it covers up its failure by committing heinous massacres against children and women.”
He called for “solidarity of the nation and the free and honorable people and the Gaza resistance, and those who have not done anything yet, can still make amends; as the battles are still ongoing, the Palestinian people are required to unite in the resistance battle that shapes the fate of Palestine and the nation.”
He pointed out that “in case the aggression stops, the party that will negotiate on behalf of Lebanon is the Lebanese state, and all rumors about a ready agreement for the situation at the southern borders are not true.”
Nasrallah confirmed that “the future of the situation in the south will be decided based on the results of this battle. On our Lebanese front, whatever support the Lebanese state will provide to our people in the villages and the south, we will work with you, and clearly, to rebuild our homes and houses, and we will construct our front-line villages as they were and more beautiful than before.”
