Hezbollah militia announced on Friday that its forces targeted the Israeli position of “Dahira” with artillery shells.
In a statement, Hezbollah stated that their elements directly hit an Israeli troop deployment at the Dahira site with artillery fire.
Additionally, an Israeli drone struck the southern town of “Rab Thalathin” earlier today, and Israeli artillery shelled the outskirts of several towns in the middle sector of southern Lebanon after midnight last night.
Hezbollah also stated in a release early Friday morning that their air defense unit fired anti-aircraft missiles at Israeli warplanes over southern Lebanon late Thursday night, forcing them to retreat behind the Lebanese border with occupied Palestine.
Furthermore, Israeli artillery targeted several towns in the middle sector of southern Lebanon and shelled the mountains of “Labouneh” and “Allam” in the western sector of southern Lebanon, as reported by Lebanon’s National News Agency.
Overnight, Israeli warplanes intensely patrolled the skies over southern Lebanon, particularly over the villages of the western and middle sectors, deploying flares and conducting several mock raids.
The border areas in southern Lebanon have been experiencing exchanges of fire between the Israeli military and Hezbollah since October 8, following Israel’s declaration of war on Gaza and Hezbollah’s announcement of support for Gaza.
