Hezbollah announced on Sunday that it has launched over 320 Katyusha rockets targeting 11 Israeli military locations.

The Lebanese militant group confirmed that this barrage was aimed at various Israeli strongholds including bases and garrisons in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, such as Meiron Base, Navi Ziv Garrison, and Za’atoun Base among others.

The statement from Hezbollah emphasized that this initial phase successfully facilitated the passage of assault drones towards deeper strategic targets within Israel.

Following this rocket assault, Hezbollah initiated a substantial aerial attack with numerous drones aimed at a high-value military target inside Israel.

This aggressive move came after the Israeli military conducted preemptive strikes against several towns in Southern Lebanon earlier on the same day, targeting areas including Harsh Kounin and Beit Yahoun, as reported by Lebanese media.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) responded by stating they had preemptively attacked Hezbollah positions in Lebanon after detecting preparations for imminent attacks.

The IDF claims to have targeted terrorist sites in response to these threats, aiming to neutralize Hezbollah’s capability to launch further strikes into Israeli territory.

The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that Israeli airstrikes on Friday claimed the lives of seven individuals, including a child, across various locations in southern Lebanon. Among the dead, Hezbollah confirmed that three of its fighters were killed.

Hezbollah, which has been exchanging fire with Israel in solidarity with Hamas since the start of the Gaza war on October 7, stated that the fighters were targeted by Israeli forces in the village of Tayr Harfa. The Lebanese state-run National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone strike in Aita al-Shaab killed two people, including a seven-year-old child, using two guided missiles.

The Israeli military confirmed that its aircraft targeted a “terrorist cell” in Tayr Harfa, stating that the cell was preparing to launch projectiles towards Israel.
