Lebanese Hezbollah claimed on Monday it executed a drone attack on the 91st Division command at “Elite” barracks in northern Israel.
Hezbollah stated: “Resistance fighters launched an aerial attack with a swarm of strike drones on the newly established 91st Division command headquarters at Elite barracks, targeting the positions of officers and soldiers, resulting in several casualties and injuries.”
Israeli media reported that a drone from Lebanon exploded in the “Elite Hashar” area in northern Israel after hitting a base there. The media indicated that an intercept missile failed to stop the drone, which landed on the base.
Sources mentioned that two soldiers were injured, one critically and the other moderately, and they were transferred to Ziv Hospital in Safed. The media confirmed that the attack caused direct hits.

Channel 13 in Israel reported on Sunday evening that Israeli leadership contacted allies to ensure their participation in countering any potential Iranian attack.
Tensions in the region escalated following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, in Tehran on Wednesday, a day after an Israeli airstrike in Beirut killed senior Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shukr, allied with Iran.
There are growing concerns that Israel’s war on Palestinian fighters in Gaza, ongoing since October, could escalate into a broader Middle Eastern conflict.
Iran and Hamas accuse Israel of assassinating Haniyeh and have vowed, along with Hezbollah, to retaliate, though Israel has neither claimed nor denied responsibility.
Channel 13 reported that senior Israeli security officials believe Iran has not yet fully decided on the nature and intensity of its response to Haniyeh’s assassination.
The channel added that Hezbollah is seeking a target that would harm Israel but is not interested in escalating the confrontation into a full-scale war.
A White House official stated on Sunday that the United States will deploy additional military capabilities to the Middle East as a defensive measure to calm regional tensions. The Pentagon confirmed on Friday that it will deploy additional fighter jets and Navy warships to the region.
