Three sons of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau (Hazem, Amir, and Mohammed), and three of his grandchildren were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a car in the Beach Camp west of Gaza.

On November 21, 2023, Jamal Mohammed Haniyeh, the eldest grandson of Hamas’ political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, was killed in an Israeli airstrike.

Palestinian media then explained that the eldest grandson of the head of Hamas’ political bureau was killed along with his daughter.
Also, Rua Hammam, the youngest granddaughter of Ismail Haniyeh and a student, was killed on November 10, 2023, in an Israeli airstrike targeting her family’s home in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the Israeli operation in Gaza continues on its 187th day, where the death toll from the bombardment on the Strip has exceeded 33,000.

The situation in Gaza remains dire, with continuous Israeli aggression that has significantly escalated since October 7, 2023. The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported a staggering number of casualties, with the death toll reaching 32,782 and 75,298 injuries. The Israeli military’s actions have included the commission of massacres against families, leading to numerous deaths and injuries. The conflict has rendered many victims trapped under rubble, unreachable by rescue teams due to the destruction and ongoing violence.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza is critically deteriorating. The blockade, which has been in place for sixteen years, has severely restricted access to essential services, including electricity and the internet, exacerbating the crisis for the 2.3 million residents of this densely populated area. The United Nations Security Council has called for an immediate ceasefire, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing the need for humanitarian aid and a pathway towards a two-state solution.

The humanitarian crisis is described as reaching a “dangerous new low” with over 423,000 people displaced, more than 270,000 of whom have sought refuge in UNRWA shelters. The UN has warned that the health system in Gaza is at a “breaking point,” with major hospitals overflowing and critical supplies depleting rapidly.
