The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassim Al-Budaiwi, has strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on the Al-Tabe’in School in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City, which serves as a shelter for displaced persons. This assault has resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.
Al-Budaiwi emphasized that the ongoing and violent attacks by Israeli forces on Palestinian civilians in Gaza and other Palestinian territories, including direct assaults on shelters and refugee camps, constitute war crimes.
These actions reflect the dangerous criminal approach of the Israeli occupation forces and represent a blatant violation of international and humanitarian laws, disregarding legal, ethical, and humanitarian values.
The Secretary-General called on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities by taking immediate and serious action to halt the violence, end the dangerous Israeli military operations, and hold those responsible for these violations accountable.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), over 100 people were killed and 150 injured early Saturday in a new massacre perpetrated by Israeli forces against displaced citizens in Gaza City. Israeli warplanes targeted the Al-Tabe’in School in the Sahaba area of the Daraj neighborhood with three direct rocket strikes while civilians were performing the dawn prayer in the mosque.
The report further states that the attack resulted in the deaths of over 100 individuals, with 150 others injured, many of whom were women and children. Rescue and civil defense teams have struggled to recover all the bodies, and there are concerns that the death toll may rise.
