Germany has recently announced a substantial military aid package for Ukraine, valued at 1.3 billion euros. The package also comprises 20,000 155mm artillery shells and anti-tank mines. This is in addition to almost 140,000 shells pledged for delivery next year, making a total of 160,000 units for 2024-2025.

Germany’s contributions to Ukraine include previously pledged IRIS-T systems, three of which have already been delivered. Another four systems are expected to be delivered in 2024.
This new aid package is a continuation of Germany’s support, which has been significant since the beginning of the conflict. Berlin’s total contribution to Ukraine’s military aid amounts to 17.1 billion euros.
