The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes has risen to 34,454, with 77,575 wounded since October 7th of last year.
In a Facebook post today, the ministry stated that the Israeli occupation has committed seven massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 66 martyrs and 138 injuries being admitted to hospitals within the past 24 hours.
It added that on the 205th day of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, a number of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, with ambulance and civil defense teams unable to reach them.
The Gaza Strip has been facing a humanitarian crisis exacerbated by repeated conflicts and blockades. Since May of the previous year, tensions between Israel and Hamas escalated, leading to a series of violent exchanges, including airstrikes by Israel and rocket attacks from Gaza.
The densely populated Gaza Strip, home to nearly 2 million Palestinians, has suffered extensive damage to infrastructure, homes, and essential services, exacerbating an already dire humanitarian situation.
The latest escalation in violence has further strained Gaza’s healthcare system, which is struggling to cope with the influx of casualties amid limited resources and access to medical supplies due to the blockade imposed by Israel.
International organizations have repeatedly called for an end to the violence and for humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza to address the urgent needs of its population.
