The UAE was announced as the most loveable country to live in for the 12th consecutive year by the Arab Youth Survey.
The survey results were based on the views of face-to-face interviews with 3,600 young people aged between 18 and 24 across 18 different nations.
People attributed the remarkable results to the country’s safety and security (41%), a growing economy (28%), effective leadership (24%), a clean environment (22%), and the ease of starting a business (20%).
“Starting my career as a civil engineer in Lebanon has been very challenging, it’s difficult to accept the idea that my country has no opportunities for me,” said Tarek Mahmoud, 22, a civil engineer “I have no other option but to seek a job abroad, and the UAE is very welcoming of fresh graduates and young talents.
“I moved to the UAE almost two years ago and it was the best decision I made,” said Tala Dia, 25, a senior auditor also from Lebanon.
“Of course, I feel homesick sometimes, but Abu Dhabi is also home. Most of my friends in Lebanon are looking for an opportunity to move here.”
In the same vein, the UAE ranked first worldwide in the number of ultra-rich people who flocked to it in 2022, according to the Personal Wealth Migration Report.
It also topped the most millionaires in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) that year, with 109,500.
The report, which is issued by the British company Henley & Partners, highlighted that the UAE attracted 5,200 ultra-wealthy people last year.
