In a fiery address during Friday prayers in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan asserted that the United States and England are conspiring to transform the Red Sea into a “sea of blood,” echoing his condemnation of their alleged disproportionate attack on Yemen earlier that day.
Erdogan, referencing the morning assault on Yemen in his remarks, deemed it “disproportionate” and drew parallels to Israel’s actions in Gaza, which he characterized as turning the region into a “lake of blood.” He warned against the ongoing use of what he termed “disproportionate and unbalanced power,” expressing concern over the potential repercussions for Iran and emphasizing the need for self-defense.
The Turkish president asserted, “It is the oppressors who will be harmed and defeated, and the oppressed will never be harmed.” Erdogan revealed that the Yemeni army had targeted over 12 points in Yemen, including ships, planes, and submarines, in retaliation against Israeli ships and American forces in the Red Sea.
American officials claimed that the targets included training sites, air bases, and drone maintenance facilities belonging to Ansarullah in Yemen. Erdogan expressed confidence in the International Court of Justice, stating, “I believe in the realization of justice, and Israel will be sentenced soon.”
