A Boeing 777 passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off from a San Francisco airport on Thursday, heading to Japan, due to one of its tires falling off and landing in the airport’s parking lot.

An online video shows the tire detaching from a United Airlines aircraft seconds after takeoff from San Francisco International Airport.

According to “KRON 4,” the tire fell into a parking lot used by airport employees, damaging several cars, as stated by airport officials, before the plane was diverted to Los Angeles International Airport, where it safely landed.

United Airlines reported that there were 249 passengers on board the flight bound for Osaka.

Boeing has recently faced a series of quality control issues, the latest in January when a door detached from a Boeing 737 Max 9’s fuselage after taking off from Portland, Oregon.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but all Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft were grounded for 19 days.
